Why local phone shop can easily unlock any cell phone?

There are a lot of dope on the Internet about how to unlock a cell phone. However, unlocking a phone seems to be a tough task for an amateur like me. So I went to a local phone shop and paid $15 to get unlocking done. I am by a hair's breadth wondering how the earth it is so easy for a local cell phone shop to unlock the phone? Just curious about how they can far get the unlock code.
they have a computer system that generates the patterns for them. 90% of the time it pops right up in a matter of seconds. The service provider should have been talented to give you the code as well, for free, and the steps to do it right over the phone. At&t does...

There is a cell phone shop for marketing in the Palos Hills Illinois. Its a T-Mobile authorized dealer and the owners are selling because they have no pass to manage it nor collateral to fall back on. Asking price is really low and location is true. Fast growing location with ample parking and huge potential. Established trade, and NO COMPETITORS for another 40 blocks in each direction. Gorgeous new signage. They basically requisite someone to just take over rthe lease.

the stores are mostly using software to unlock your phones...I assume trust to that method is altering the software and "flashing" them...this can void your covenant on your phone and possibly damage the software...if you call at&t and tmobile...the best method to unlock your phone is by Outside unlock code...which is simply entering a password...you can find these codes on http://www.cellunlocker.net or http://www.cellphoneunlock.net. Most of these stores will get their codes from unlock traditions distributors such as http://www.unlockcodesource.com However as far as I know the distributors will not sell the codes to you unless you own a cache etc...
