I require to get a tmobile to go phone as a christmas gift. I am wondering,if I buy it online, when I recieve it do I have to activate it or will it already be activated? I don't necessitate to have it activated until after christmas because there isn't any point in having it sit under a tre while it's activated.
If your buying one from t-transportable online or any other legitimate seller you will activate the phone yourself. All t-mobile phones (including to go phones) use sim cards, and the phone will not be energize until the sim card is put into the phone (and some carriers require you call a 1 800 # after that). So the sim card should will be in the box and the phone unactivated.

Tmobile!?!?!?
May 16, 2008 by Summer | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans
i called tmobile and they said my condense ends in a month.
Do you have to wait exactly until the day to get a new phone or can i do it early?
Would i be able to get a new phone now?
base but as you can tell im a very impatient person
the phone i want is 230 when i upgrade it so i'd rather no more than wait a month so i can pay 130.
On the whole you become eligible for the best discounts in the last one or two months of your contract, so waiting might not be necessary. Justifiable call or email to ask if you're eligible for a full discount yet, or just use your MyT-Mobile account to look at upgrade pricing (as usual somewhere on the phone & accessories tab) and if you see the same prices offered to new customers at www.t-mobile.com, that means you're fitting for the full discount. (You actually get a better deal as new customers pay a $35 activation fee and you only pay $18 to upgrade. That includes UPS shipping that cast-off to cost $10.)

I have tmobile and I want a phone from a different network. What networks would work with tmobile?
Jul 05, 2008 by I <3 Edward Cullen | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans
Im indeed tired of the phones tmobile have. So can I get a phone from like sprint? Would it work? I really craving the lg rumor. And if it doesnt then what networks could I get a phone from other than tmobile.
To use a phone from another provider with your T-Quick USA service, there are basically three things necessary in the phone:
1) uses 1900 MHz frequency (that's tempered to by North American phones so as long as you're buying a US phone you're covered)
2) GSM phone (that is, it takes SIM cards. Sprint doesn't, as they're a CDMA network. AT&T/Cingular is GSM.)
3) unlocked, which is to say, not locked for use on that other shipper's network
