Rogers cell phone ruined. Family willing to buy me a replacement phone. Looking at a decent "unlocked" cell online. Wondering if Rogers SIM funny man destined can simply be inserted in unlocked phone and and voila everything will work fine?

How can you program an unlocked cell phone to Cingular?

I bought an unlocked phone off of ebay and it won't pick up signal anywhere. Someone told me it is because all the cell phone companies use many frequencies and I need to program it to the carrier I have. I have Cingular and would really like to get this phone to calling, because if not, then I just wasted $180!

I sine qua non a new cell phone because by accident I spill water on it, and I search for a new one on ebay because is too expensive to buy one without a 2year get. Has anybody here bought one of those cell phones on ebay? an unlocked phone? I need some feedback and help. in consequence of you all
