Can particle board flooring in a mobile home go from swollen back to almost normal?

My pa lives in a 1998 mobile home. His air conditioner drain pipe clogged up and effervescent water was leaking under the vinyl flooring for quite a while before I noticed the floor was swollen up. His segment has been replaced so there hopefully will be no more leaking water. Now that the particle board is swollen up, must it be replaced with new council or will it ever dry back out and go back down some? How big a deal is this going to be?

the flooring will not look the same nor will it ever be as clear-cut. It will need to be replaced. Many contractors will splice the sub floor on a joist. this is a poor wont it is better to cut between the joists and glue and screw a 6" wide backer across the common around the entire perimeter. The original sheets of particle board extend from side to side and are joined over the top of the amaze joist with a 4" inch backer full glued and stapled many many times.

How do you go about buying a mobile home?

My stillness and I can't afford much but it would be nice if we could have a little place we could call our own. So we were looking at buying a double to one side. Just a as a little starter home. The thing is we know nothing about how to go about buying a composed. So my question is, for a mobile home how much should we have saved up to be as a down payment? How good should our credit be? And how much does it tariff to move a double wide?

Well if you're planning on pathetic the home onto undeveloped land, I would contact one of the large manufactures, since they offer packages that allow for brickwork, driveway, etc. Last time I checked a really nice one went for 70K.

If you're planning to move into a store, contact a real estate agent and ask all the questions you can. Usually 10-15% is penalty, and depending on the area, it's a pretty good deal. Normally the rent and mortgage equals less than you would pay for a 3/2 apartment. Benefit the manufactured newer homes are beautiful.
