Does a mobile home need a cement pad to sit on?

I am putting in a insignificant 12'x60' mobile home on the new property I just bought, to use as an office for my farm. Would I stress to put a cement pad in for the home to sit on? Would it need to be the complete size of the mobile home i.e 12x60 or could I use smaller pads just where the wheels are wealthy to sit?

You do not needfulness a full pad, but you do need what are called piers. They are tubular structures, in the ground, down to the frost postcard. Holes are augered, and then cardboard concrete tubes are placed in, and they are filled with gum. These are what the blocks are placed on, and then the house. They are necessary to avoid ground shift during unprepared weather.
As far as the placement of ANY blocking, contact the manufacturer of your home and give them the serial number. They can fax you a "jetty plan". This will tell you where to place the piers.

Yes, you can also use a full pad. Just contact a manufactured home set corps, and they will tell you what size it needs to be.

You will still need a pier plan for proper array of blocks. If you don't use one, be prepared for sagging floors, doors that won't open, doors that won't close off, etc.

Better to by used mobile home and land with existing utilities or buy new with land but need to get utilities?

An older mobile home already has situate work, utility and sewer hook-ups, but may need major updating. A new trailer does not basic fixing, but the land needs to be purchased, site work needs to be done and utilities shortage to be hooked up. Really not interested in leasing the land or the mobile home. Looking to do this the most economical and cheapest way feasible, money is very tight, and the mobile homes seem very affordable.

You are preferably off buying the location with the existing trailer on it , all other things being equal, the cost of providing those services to another plat could equal the cost of a good condition newer trailer. You could either replace the trailer at a later in good time always for not a huge amount (Double check the zoning and planning board rules on this) or you could use it as a erection site for a moduler or stick built home as well.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Fire officials have begun to inquire into a mobile home fire on Elkins Approach in Fayetteville.

Fire crews were called at about 1:30 a.m. Friday to the fully engulfed order at the Leafy Acres mobile home store.

Police officers at the episode said they were called to Grassy Acres Thursday. The complex's executive called the heat when he found two men preferred the trailer. The gendarmes description no one was entrails when they arrived.

Fire crews reported the mobile home was obliged to be forsaken. The trailer was destroyed.
