Can a contract mobile phone sim card be put into a prepaid phone without extra costs?

I have managed to analyse c collapse my mobile phone and have heard that if I purchase a prepaid phone from the same provider that my current sim (on contract) will work without activating the prepaid....has anyine done this successfully? Or have any info on it????

Yes, you can do this successfully as dream of as the Pay as you go Handset is on the same network as your Contract phone. This is due to it being locked on that network. There are no extra charges from your network provider.

Is there a home telephone out there which will let me use my mobile phone sim card in it?

I call for to be able to place my mobile phone's sim card into a normal home phone for ease of access. I distress the mobile phone number to be ringable on the home phone once it is placed inside it.

Is there a product already out there which I can't find?!

connecting to internet on laptop via mobile phone sim card?

I'v recently bought a mobile phone contract with freed unlimited internet. my question is if i put the sim card into a usb modem and into my laptop, will i be able to conect to the internet via my laptop?

No, it won't travail. You can however use the phone as a "tethered modem" which means that the computer sees the phone as a dial-up trend modem. Many Nokias and particularly BlackBerrys are good for this.

The problem is that most companies who come forward unlimited internet will only allow it when using a particular browser on the phone, one that has limitations as to what organize of web site can be displayed, and they definitely won't allow things like streaming video, IM or youtube etc., without appurtenance charges - often quite steep extra charges.

Check the fine publish on the phone company's contract very carefully.
