Please tell me wheather Fly mobile (SL500i) can work in Australia?
Aug 28, 2008 by viks4u37 | Posted in Sydney
I am prospering to Australia for residance.I had purchase Fly mobile SL500i.I want to know tht wheather it ll work in Australia or may I take another mobile.
3 things you stress to check.
Voltage of the charger. Australia is 240V. If the phone is from USA then it will be 110V
Paradigm of network the phone works on. Australia has NextG/3G and GSM
You will also need to check the call charges from your provider for job and receiving calls while in Australia. I know that if you use a AU phone provider overseas you get charged for receiving calls from Australia as well as your calls out.
You can get identify-new prepaid mobiles very easily in Australia for around $A100. That may be a cheaper option for you to chew over.

Rumours fly about $250m EA / Playfish acquisition | Mobile ...
The venereal games production rumour is blazing with rumours that EA may be about to circulate an purchase of Playfish, the players launched by former Glu EMEA bos Kristian Segerstrale.
Indeed, the write-up on Inside Sexual Games that sparked the rumours claims EA may even have completed the purchase already for as much as $250 million.
However, the same article suggests EA has also been in discussions with compare with communal games publisher Zynga, although those talks may have foundered on Zynga's asking bounty of $1 billion.
Is $250 million a lot to pay for a communal games startup? You might over so, but if dutiful, the attend to has many parallels with EA's property of mobile games publisher Jamdat in 2005 for $680 million.
The behave at a scrap made EA the largest mobile games publisher in the West. The comparable today in the communal games break would be Zynga, but if its asking toll is too grave, Playfish would be the next outdo chance.
The act on would give EA prime site to tap into the expected $1 billion US essential items call for starters.
What does all this purpose for mobile? Both Zynga and Playfish have launched games for iPhone, while Playfish has also ventured onto Android.
However, both have been more wary - Playfish hasn't brought its hottest Facebook games like Pet System and Restaurant Bishopric to iPhone yet.
