How do I use Microsoft Office Mobile on my smartphone?

I got a smartphone from ATT about a month ago and have been bothersome to figure out how to view PowerPoint presentations and Word documents with the Office Mobile application. Is there a standard format I have to save them in before I put them in my documents in my phone's memory? I've tried just parsimonious it as I usually would and copying to my documents, but they don't show up on the phone that way. Any help?

You necessary to use ActiveSync, or the Vista replacement Windows mobile device center, to convert the files to a form the mobile device can handle. With ActiveSync, you can the "Explore" icon when you have the slogan synced. Then just drag the file where you want it on the device from Windows. It will be converted automatically.

For Vista, I would contemplate it is similar. However, I refuse to use Vista because they wont support older MS Mobile OS's on it. So I wonder what OS's they wont stand by on the Vista replacement they are planning....
