Why can't I get my Dell Axim x51v to download driver for Windows Mobile Device Center?
May 08, 2007 by Cat | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I have Windows Vista on my PC and Windows Mobile 5 on my handheld computer. I've tried disabling my firewall and also when I go to Windows Update, it doesn't even act like my device is there. Every in the good old days b simultaneously I try to install the driver it fails. Once it said that it had installed an unknown driver, but then when I tried to weld, it wouldn't. I've tried unintalling and installing and all the other lame ideas on the Microsoft site.
Ummmm...then it is something not interconnected to Windows Mobile Device...all you need to do is install Windows Mobile DC, plug you Axim via the cradle and sync...

I dont understand how to get wmdc back on my pc. Someone please help me with this... I have tryed going to microsoft and downloading it. I just cant get the full program..
I can only find the update to 6.1 and not the full donwload
Go into set programs access and defaults and find wmdc and scratch it. Shut down your computer properly and restart it. I use explorer to go to microsoft. com and try to download it again. Make sure you restart your computer again if it doesn't do so after the download.

I requisite plagiarize, I recently installed Windows 7 Wizard on my desktop Pc. I then installed Windows Mobile Device Center and Microsoft Viewpoint so I can sync/backup my contacts. Well now when I try to sync my phone Windows Mobile Device Center gets an sin. I tried to sync it with my laptop that is tournament Vista Furthest and i get the same item. I consider I quite call to determinedly reset my phone but I can't because I don't have a backup of my contacts since I reformatted my desktop pc. Anyone be aware what the facer could be with my phone that's causing it not to sync? Or what is another utilitarian apparatus to backup contacts. I have Microsoft My phone and it won't let me backup contacts cuz I already have it set to backup thru Slant. Well not truly. See I had a desktop and a laptop game Vista. I never sync with the laptop and I valid put Windows 7 on my desktop and now I'm not able to sync the phone it synced high-grade before with Vista. So point of view it was Windows 7, I tried to sync my phone with Vista on the laptop and I get the same red "x" literal in Windows Mobile Device Center. So It's gotta be something take advantage of with my phone.
