Oct 18, 2007 by SoCal Attorney | Posted in Software
I have a new HP Pavilion laptop with Windows Vista Where it hurts Premium. I downloaded Windows Mobile Device Center so I could sync the my contacts list and calendar on my Samsung BlackJack with Prospect 2003. It will sync my contact, but not my email, tax list or calendar. Outlook keeps crashing and the sync dispose of will not complete.
Viewpoint 2003 is compatible with Vista, but the older Mobile Device Center is not.

Windows Mobile Device Center causes errors for XMarks
When using Windows Mobile Device Center to sync a Windows Mobile phone, it creates and takes charge over an Internet Explorer Favorites folder called "Mobile Favorites." Even if you give in off the opportunity to sync Mobile Favorites, the folder is still created. When this folder exists, XMarks for IE will not sync well. It gives me this slip bulletin: After disabling Windows Mobile sync, does it still exhort on creating a "Mobile Favorites" folder? We have particular jus gentium 'universal law' in prosper that treats the "Windows Mobile" folder differently in an undertaking to synchronize correctly when the Windows Mobile Device Center is continual. However, it's certainly not working correctly in this what really happened. I'm guessing it has to do with Windows 7 64-bit, unfortunately I don't have a gadget here that I can try testing that with right-hand now. Hi Colin, Thanks for your rejoinder. It's not so much that I mindfulness about syncing my mobile favorites. In episode, I by don't even use IE on the phone (I on the side of Opera Mobile). It's equitable that the sync doesn't hanker after to profession because of the mobile favorites folder. Interestingly enough, I'm getting a more certain gaffe report now as shown below. As for deleting the Mobile Favorites folder, it won't let me when WMDC is contest. In factually, it asks for administrator sanction and then still won't erase it. Then it creates favour folder with the same name, which I'm not effective how it's practical but it does. If I don't have WMDC ceaseless, it will let me erase it but will spawn it again next yet I run WMDC. It doesn't vote in as a metamorphosis if I have the chance to sync mobile favorites selected or not; it still insists on making the folder.
