Does a T-Mobile prepaid sim card already come with a phone number assigned to you?

I have a sidekick LX and my diagram ends soon ( in october) and i am planning on getting the phone on prepaid. If I go to a T-Mobile store and buy a prepaid sim comedian, will the sim card come with a number already assigned??

I in reality like the prepaid plans, but I think the phones themselves are lacking, compared to the blackberry or the iphone. I last in the United States. Are there any other phones, besides those featured on the website, that use the Virgin mobile prepaid service?

Unfortunately, only Virgin Mobile phones will employment with Virgin Mobile service. The phones are low-end because they are a prepaid carrier.
