How do I switch off the HP Mobile Remote functionality?

At on we have a media center as our tv and as my laptop has the HP Mobile Remote to work as a remote control for my media center, the two are conflicting. Basically when I labour on my computer and somebody else is playing around on the tv with the media center remote, my computer responds to this. Any ideas?

If you go to the thingumajig manager (Type "Device Manager" in the Vista start menu) and bring to light up the "Human Input Devices" tree

Then find "HID-compliant Consumer Restrain Device", right click it and click "Disable"

If it is still enabled, one of the items in there is "HP Remote Manage HID Device". Right click it and select "Uninstall", but *only* do this if the first chance didn't work.

Right click it, and click "Uninstall" from the menu.

Recently I have bought a Lenovo Laptop which has bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11 b/g for wireless connectivity.
Was wondering, can i use HP Mobile Remote Sway with it? I mean - is the remote compatible with any other systems, and what are the requirements??

It's good-looking unlikely to work.
