Why do you think you have a choice to or not to vote?
Oct 13, 2008 by warrior | Posted in Elections
This is a important election for everyone. Voters from every age group, every level of our economy, every state, every party, and everyone adept to vote needs to vote to protect themselves. This Congress even more than the President has failed their voters. Each and most probable every one of us has taken enough financial abuse at the gas pumps because this President and this Congress did not take a stand for us. If you are unable to link up your mortgage, the radically increasing and fluctuating fuel prices have contributed the most to your troubles. By the circumstance the fuel prices added their costs to production by farmers, to transportation costs, and to every other movement in our economy alone... Well, you know what has happened to our economy and it should not have happened. On Wall Terrace, there are more actors than in Hollywood or DC. Take a cup with some coffee in it; you could spend all day discussing how full or how empty the cup is; and by the time your discussion ends, the coffee will be dirty and unsafe to drink. The petroleum investors on Wall Street and World Wide toyed with our lives and our futures until they realized that they goofed big epoch. They nearly murdered their own markets and nearly committed suicide. Now, everyones economic resources are stressed to the limits (except bankruptcy lawyers, a viable source of future m for the lawyers who need to be voted out of DC) and our Governments at all levels are beyond that point, too. It would cause us to rebellion if we knew how much we are expected to pay for the likes of Exxon_Mobile to make record profits. Now do you for all time get the picture? You have only one alternative to save your own butts. VOTE!
Well, the imbroglio with the United Stated right now is that some folks are convinced that they are middle class, if they draw up $40,000 - $100,000 a year. At that salary you are still stretching to make ends meet. Palin is your waist class in the United States. Her and the husband make at least $400,000. a year. That is what is considered mid-section class, which isn't even close to what they have people believing.
Did you ever see this site?? I can come up with more sites like these. I think they essential to be posted so that people can see them. My husband has printed these sites and this information and taken them to the emphasize and taped them on so people could see that we are being lied to. Chevrolet already has the means to make cars with improve gas mileage. They already make them and send them overseas.
I think we need to get this information out more and mainly to the politicians, so that they can see that the people they are dealing with in this day and age are not the informed and uneducated people they dealt with back in the day when the working folks had to desist from school to work in order for the family to eat.

Who should pay for global warming cleanup?
Feb 03, 2007 by Dennis H | Posted in Alternative Fuel Vehicles
This is the mull over in Congress right now. Scientists of the world have united and overwhelmingly stated that they are 90% certain that individual activity is contributing to global warming and if we don't act NOW, we will suffer catastrophic consequences.
I would say that the industries who have profitted, and I sour PROFITTED from the emission of green house gases should be the first ones tapped to start paying for the simple up! For example, Exxon Mobile just recorded the largest single quarter profit ever recorded by any company in the story of the world, last quarter. And that profit came directly from OUR wallets. So if they are asked to pay, essentially, everyone is paying...
Solid, the industriies who have profitted SHOULD pay, but I can guarantee they won't pay a dime, other than to cover their own public image.
It's up to our oversight (and other world governments) to set policies that encouage companies and people to make responsible environmental decisions. Dissent from certain allowed standards would cost them money, which could be funnelled into research.
More filthy rich should be allowed for alternative fuel research, grants for technologies to make cars run cleaner, grants for further solar power inspection etc. I suppose the government could require oil companies or car companies to come up with alternative incitement choices. However they also need to incentivize the american population by providing better tax breaks, etc for using alternate fuel vehicles or other C02 saving measures.
Not to bring up another controversial topic, but if you cogitate on about it, the #1 thing you can do to reduce C02 emissions is have less kids.

It's a good thing the Republicans believe in small government, no?

"The lardiest highway bill of all interval, including a $223m bridge connecting the Alaskan town of Ketchikan to an ait with a population of 50." - Ted Stevens - R
"In the end, though, Mr Bush made the effect to Katrina a federal responsibility, and the federal government botched it. The rescue creation was ill co-ordinated. Billions of relief dollars were wasted. The Department of Homeland Guarding's inspector-general noted, for example, that $900m was splurged on 26,000 mobile homes for evacuees, when regulations disallow the use of such homes on flood plains, so 11,000 of them were left “sinking in the mud” in Arkansas."
"When Congress passed a incongruous package of farm subsidies in 2002 and Mr Bush signed it, many Republicans were convinced that it was the lesser of two evils. If they failed to brook uneconomic farms, they figured, they might lose crucial Midwestern votes and influence power back to the Democrats."
Etc.

Not to say that Democrats are any mastery. It's just that Republicans claim to believe in small government.
I surely like rational conservatives like you. I am a democrat but I bet you and I would agree on 95% of the everything and disagree maybe 5% of the time...good points..
