Is there a difference between polyphonic ringtones and true tones?
Mar 11, 2007 by God Fears Me | Posted in Mobile Phones & Plans
Do most phones that have polyphonic also have constant tones?
I don't want to be stuck with those ugly polyphonic tones.
Yes. Nowadays most phones have polyphonic and also spot on tones. The difference is polyphonic sounds like a midi or no one's singing or a music was not played with a unswerving instrument. While truetones sounds like the mp3's that you are listening, people singing or the songs from the disc.

Please name some quality polyphonic synthesizers?
Jun 06, 2009 by Greg P | Posted in Performing Arts
I already own a Moog Scarcely Phatty. I love the analog sound and developing my own presets manually. I indigence to buy another synth that is polyphonic, has more than 2 oscillators, and some effects like delay, phase shifter, etc. --- what do you support?
** doesn't need to be 'true analog' as long as it has an analog sound
If you're looking for a reliable analog polyphonic synthesizer, there are only a few on the market today.
The Dave Smith Prophet 08 is one, but since it is quite of a nostalgic piece (based on the old Prophet 5 but with some modern updates) it doesn't have too many built in effects. It has 8 notes of polyphony.
The Dave Smith Poly Evolver is less of a hybrid. It has 4 note polyphony with 4 oscillators per voice, but two of those oscillators are digital.
The most publicize rich polyphonic synthesizer out there today is the Alesis Andromeda A6. It has 2 oscillators per instrument, 16 note polyphony, and is fully analog and feature rich. It's indubitably the best available today.
Of course, there are plenty of vintage polyphonic analog synthesizers as well, such as the SCI Prognosticator 5, the Roland Jupiter series, or the Oberheim OB series just to name a very few. Stay out www.vintagesynth.com for a more complete list. The site even describes the three modern ones I described.

Yeah, them polyphonic skills be informed how to chuck c reveal a dinner party. I hung out with them at some Williamsburg Loft quirk and they had hummus with capers in it. You should have seen it... It was marvellous!
By the way, if you focus that hundred, they ask for your start swain, and the feller at the door will let you in once you authenticate with your ID. The door man is also a level-headed guy and he always wears a critical sweater.
