How can I get my Samsung mobile to connect to the computer?

So, I have a samsung mobile phone which, for a few months now, has been connecting via usb to my laptop. But for some purpose, now whenever I plug my usb in, what comes up is something called "pictbridge" and the computer identifies it as a camera, not a phone. And I can't get any pictures off my phone onto my computer, or do anything at bottom. How the hell do I turn this friggin "pictbridge" off and get my phone to anchor like it used to?
