Are there any good Twitter apps for Windows Mobile?
Jan 15, 2009 by lowlight | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I have tried diverse Twitter apps, like ceTwit, Quakk, and Twobile, none of which worked out for me. Quakk was quite the best, but it is very unstable.
Are there any GOOD apps for Windows Mobile, that are similar in function to the good iPhone apps that are out there?
no, there are not.

Integrating Twitter into your Windows Mobile Widget
I assume the first call in that comes to viewpoint is why would you crave to mesh twitter into your widget. Until recently I would have agreed that it seems fairly supererogatory as there is an almost numberless total of Twitter clients out there, all claiming that they are speculator than all that have gone before them. However, I was recently upsetting to add a device for commenting on items within a widget I was book. Now I could have simply built yet another commenting system, involving the everyday candidates of sql server backend, wrapped in a honest Kip or SOAP mending blah blah blah, but I came to the conclusion this would entirely add to the outlay of managing the request, surprisingly since up until now the widget didn’t rely on any backend services. I figured since a lot of users would doubtlessly have Twitter accounts I could right-minded let them use their account in uniformity to affirm comments. The event that their comments would be seen in their Twitter fodder would fitting add some furlough advertising for my widget.
So, having chosen Twitter to hilt comments I then had to drudgery out the first-rate way to mesh them. If you’ve tempered to any of the ongoing formation of Twitter clients out there you will be relaxed with having to enrol your username and watchword into the claim – this is bad as you don’t unquestionably have any point what else that relevance may be doing with your credentials. Of routine, they would say that they dearth to elicit for this bumf so that they can pin on your behalf. Up until recently they would have been adjust. However, Twitter now supports OAuth and in express a permutation specifically designed to vouch for desktop (or vibrant customer) applications. In a nutshell this involves routing the consumer to Twitter, getting them to sacrifice in there and then routing back to the occupation practice with a becoming authorisation emblem. For the desktop permutation there is an additional footfall which involves copying a one-stretch pin from Twitter into the job practice – this is because there is no way for Twitter to redirect back to your desktop claim. This operation can be acclimatized for integrating Twitter into your widget.
