Will the samsung i780 work on T-mobile?

Okay I've had the same phone for the old times few years and kind of want to get a new phone.

I'm an organization freak, so I would really like to buy a brilliant phone, but the one's available for T-mobile aren't that awesome so I want to find an unlocked phone.

I looked around for a big time and finally stumbled upon the Samsung i780, but it's only available in the UK from what I've researched, but it can be bought unbranded and unlocked.

So... I persist in Kansas... and was wondering if this phone would work on T-mobile here?

Could anyone recommend a cool phone that fits all of or the majority of these criteria:
-Has wifi
-Inferior
-Works on Windows Mobile
-Compact, and by that I mean it won't fall out or bulge too much while being in my tight jeans.
*A provoke screen would be coolio for faster navigation.
