I can't dismiss a daily alarm on my PDA with Windows Mobile. How do I get the menu back?

I set the alarm through Settings - Clock & Alarms. In the heretofore I had a menu option in status bar on my screen to dismiss or snooze the alarm when it went off. This menu is now gone. How do I get it back?
On clock & Alarms, I clicked on the alarm bell. I have the choice "play sound (+ repeat sound)", streak light and vibrate. I don't have the option "show message". I do have this in Settings - Sounds & Notifications", but there is no election that refers to alarms.
In the Clocks & Alarms dialog, did you click on the alarm bell icon? and judge show message? Not sure if this would change the behaviour.
Any Alarm Clock for Windows Mobile 2.7?
Coerce:
1. Chaning alarm sounds (mp3 etc)
2. Set more than ONE alarm per day + recursive alarms
3. Must be freeware, or less than 20$...
