How do I set a text message ringtone for the Motorola RAZR 2 V9?

So far I've had my RAZR 2 for about 5 days now and I totally love it. However, I've been having a problem setting tones and alerts.

I want to set one particularly tone for text messages, however, because I have a different ringtone for different caller groups, whenever someone texts me, that individual's caller group ringtone ends up being their text tone as well.

Does anyone know how I can set one manual message tone regardless of their ringtone?

I hope I didn't confuse anyone. Thanks!
I know how to set the ringtones, but the mind-boggler is that it uses the caller's personal RINGTONE I set for them rather than the MESSAGE TONE I set for everyone. Any suggestions?

go to audiunder settings then u go to the trend of loudness u want then go to messages then select the one u want

I have the tmobile wing and I thirst for to know how to get ringtones i buy or download onto my phone set as my text message ringtone. Anybody know?

i have a samgsung consciousness and i cant figure out how to change the ringtone for texts or emails, i can change it for phone calls but i cannot find the choice for messages. anyone know how???


also i cant figure out how to change the ringtone so it does not play in ascending SOP. when i get a call the ringer starts off really low and then slowly starts getting louder. if anyone knows how to fix that i wud understand it. thanks

unbiased go to your phone and try to look for the settings the phone should tell you where is the rnger settings
