How can I get a cell phone ring tone absolutely free?

First I would like to use the mp3 files that I already have to originate my own ring tone. How do I do that? Is there a free website that will let me do this?
Second, is there anyway for me to directly download the ring tone from my computer to my phone with out using web access on my phone as it is dear. What hardware will I need to get if this is possible? (like some sort of usb??)

Depending on the features of your phone, you could move songs across using either USB or Bluetooth. You can get a co-worker with a Blue Tooth phone to send you their ring tones for free.

I like it because the position is pretty good. It goes right into the song, and you could hear your phone ringing, separate from some songs where it starts out really soft, then by the time it gets louder, the ringing has already stopped. I like the to-do, too.
