The fill out info on the phone just lists the name of the ring tone and not the filetype so it makes it hard....

I am taxing to use my own personal mp3 songs or songs that I have on the computer for my cell phone ring tones.

You desperate straits to get a USB data cable and the accompanying software, mobile phone tools. This will let you put MP3 files on your handset.
