Is there a way to get a silent ringtone for an individual?

I have a partner who calls constantly. I want to know that he calls and don't want to block his many or anything, but once I see it is him, I ignore it anyway. I would just set a ringtone for him, but he calls quite often and several times in a row, so I was wondering if there was such a thing as a silent ringtone that you could set for one separate.

Yes there is. You can set a give someone a buzz tone to his caller ID. I have done it before. Just set his ring tone ID to silent, that's all. Quick and painless proof luck.

I have looked everywhere on the Cingular website, but I can't find it...My phone is a samsung d-807...I neediness the tone because I have an annoying insurance person calling me and you can't block numbers on a apartment phone...

Setting it to vibrate will make all my calls vibrate...I only want this call to be silent...

That's what I said...but, they vamoose silent ringones for the calls that you don't want to get...because you can't block numbers...

You arent doltish. The ringtone is called a mosquito tone or fly tone on other ringtone sites. Cingular has something called a clandestineness ultra that is silent but i dont know if it works for your model phone. I have been looking on the Cingular plat for one that will work with my Lg phone, as i have an annoying caller as well and i hate the vibrate option!!! Additional i want to hear my other calls. My phone shipper doesn't work with that company.

i have it on my phone under the name m-ringtone. If you try searching the mosquito cartel tone that might work cause some people call it that. Its not that good its super annoying and fun to use in category though
