How do you create a free ringtone?

I discern about myxer.com, but I'd rather not make a ringtone and then have to download it from the internet on my phone, because that costs money. I have a micro SD postcard and an adapter, can you tell me how to make a free ringtone with that? Thanks.
Oh, and I use limewire, so creating a ringtone on iTunes doesn't occupation.

your mom is precisely, you can't. you actually need to create a separate ringtone file. you can use itunes or make them yourself. a third opportunity is to use an online site. if you own mp3 files you can convert them for free by uploading them and converting them into iphone ringtone. iphone ringtones end in .m4r , thats the constitution that you want. I use ventones to make my iphone ringtones. http://www.myventones.com
